Garden Pickins

Went out again this morning and there were more veggies just calling out to be picked!
This garden has been very easy to do, especially the hanging garden.
Here's what I got today:

Beheaded Squash

Just an update with a question. My hanging squash plant committed suicide.
I found it decapitated on the ground. The stem was slimy like a cracker gummed by a toddler. I looked healthy & was even bearing fruit.
Anyone have any clues what might have happened?
